Friendly Phrasal verbs

In English we used many phrasal verbs to talk about social interaction :

1. Out - Get , Ask
2. IN - Drop,  Pop , Stop 
3. UP- Pick , Meet , Hook
4. OVER - Bring , Come , Ask , Come
5. OFF- Drop

I haven’t broken bread with my parents in a long time.

To cast your bread upon the waters is to act generously because you feel that it is the right thing to do.

If something is being referred to as the greatest thing since sliced bread, it is simply the best.

Know which side one’s bread is buttered on

Sally wouldn’t do anything that would upset her mother-in-law. Her husband is jobless and they survive on his mother’s pension. She certainly knows which side her bread is buttered on.

Man does not live by bread alone.

Used to mean that people need more than just food and water to survive.

Stop Using - I Know

No body cares how much you know , until they know how much you understand "

In this post I would like to emphasis to stop using " I know" . Rather use the following to make your conversation more meaningful and Interesting. 

1. I recognize - To acknowledge a trust , existence or validity of something  
2. I appreciate - Recognize the implication and true value of something
3. I understand- To perceive intend of something
4. I see - To show you are paying attention and understand. 
5. From my prespective - To give your opinion and attitude of subject.

Heart Expressions

In this post I am sharing very interesting " Heart Expressions" which are used in English language . Its fun to use them in your daily conversations. 


1. Take Heart - Little girl I know you are upset but "Take Heart" - Papa will buy new toy for you .  
2. Heart to Heart - Lets have "Heart to Heart" conversation over bottle of wine tonight . 
3. Half Hearted - I will not get success if I try "Half Hearted" to learn English . 
4. Have your heart set on something - My heart is set on Apple MacBook even though its not cheapest.
5. By Heart - My 2.5 years old daughter can sing many Bollywood songs , She knows them by heart
6. Lighthearted - His lighthearted attitude in the face of danger was the source of some concern.
7. Heart of Gold - My friend Varun is very generous , He has heart of gold . 
8. Cross my heart - I cross my heart , I will love you forever. 
9. Change of heart - I asked my friend if I could use his car , First he said no but then he had change of heart and he allowed me to use it .
